The University of Oulu received nearly 6,000 applications for English-taught degree programmes
In this application round, the University of Oulu offered over 25 international degree programmes in English. Of these, four lead to both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, while the rest are two-year master’s programmes. In total, there are 825 study places available.
The most popular programmes were Computer Science and Engineering, International Business Management and Business Analytics programmes. There are 948 applicants from Finland, around 22 per cent of all applicants, followed by Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, India and Iran.
The final number of applications is likely to decrease, as applicants from outside the EU and EEA have a deadline to pay a 100-euro application fee, and unpaid applications will not be accepted.
After academic evaluation of all eligible applicants, selected students will receive an offer from us. Majority of our degree programmes provide an early bird discount for those offer holders who accept their study place within three weeks after receiving the admissions results.
Admissions results for master's programmes are published in April 2026, and for bachelor's programmes they are published in May 2026.
Applications to Finnish-taught bachelor’s and master’s programmes will be open in the second joint application round of the spring, from 10 to 24 March 2026.
