Welcome to the library, new student!

At the Oulu University Library, you’ll find course books and e-resources to support your studies, advice on information retrieval, and spaces to study alone or in a group.

In the Guide for New Students, you’ll find everything you need to get started using the library. Information retrieval training is also organised for new students, and you can, of course, always ask for advice in person or via the chat feature on Oula-Finna!

Oula-Finna is a database that allows you to search for printed books, journals, e-resources and scientific articles. You can also use the service to find out where materials are located, renew loans and place reservations. The subject-specific guides provide more detailed information and advice on searching for information relevant especially to your field of study.
