Wellbeing Week is coming again!

This year’s Wellbeing Week takes place from November 18 to 22. During the week, you can explore the services offered by various wellbeing actors and participate in activities that support your wellbeing.

Wellbeing Week is an annual event organized by OYY and its partners, focused on the wellbeing of students and staff. This year, it will take place from November 18 to 22, with a big theme of period poverty.

The traditional wellbeing fairs of both campuses will be held:

  • On Tuesday 19.11. from 11:00 to 14:00 at the University of Oulu’s Kontinkangas campus in the Main lobby and
  • On Wednesday 20.11. from 11:00 to 14:00 at the Linnanmaa campus near L6 lecture hall.

At the fairs, you will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of services offered by various wellbeing actors. Experts from various fields of FSHS, UniMove, the University of Oulu’s study and career guidance services, and study psychologists will be present. Throughout the week, other activities will also be offered to support wellbeing.

Tuesday 19.11.

  • Wellbeing fair at the Kontinkangas campus in the Main lobby from 11:00 to 14:00

Wednesday 20.11.

  • Wellbeing fair at the Linnanmaa campus near the L6 lecture hall from 11:00 to 14:00

Thursday 21.11.

  • Festival of Cultures at the Linnanmaa campus from 10:00 to 16:00. As part of Global Week, Festival of Cultures brings together students and staff to showcase the rich variety of cultures represented in our university community. There will be workshops, art, fashion, performances and much more. OYY and OSAKO are organizing Overall Fashion Show, starting at 12:00 at the green coat racks. OYY will also have its own stand at the event.

Friday 22.11.

  • Bring your child to school -day at the Linnanmaa campus from 9:30 to 12:00. In this event, organized by OYY and OSAKO, there will be fun activities for children at Agora and Campus Café Messi. You can navigate between the points along Väylä, where checkpoints are hidden along the way. The program starts together at 9:30 in Agora, and the activities are suitable for younger elementary school-aged children and younger. If you want to bring your child to a lecture, ask the lecturer for permission first.
  • Body & mind excursion in Botanical Garden (Kaitoväylä 5), from 16:00 to 17:00 (group 1) and from 17:00 to 18:00 (group 2). UniMove and Lappis will organize a guided excursion in the botanical garden and its surroundings, where participants will engage in wellbeing exercises, stimulate different senses, and enjoy the rejuvenating power of nature. The excursion will conclude with a warm drink by the campfire. The event is free, and you do not need to be a UniMove member to participate. Binding registration is required by Tuesday, November 19.
