Project description

The TALAI – Towards Agentic Learning in the AI Age project combines learning sciences and responsible AI to ensure that AI strengthens, and not weakens learners’ agency, self-regulation, and capacity for lifelong learning.

Building on the University of Oulu’s expertise in hybrid intelligence and the CELLA network, and in collaboration with partners like Qridi Oy, the TALAI project develops AI-based learning support systems that enhance human learning and promote meaningful, ethical, and scalable EdTech solutions. The project brings together leading companies from the EdTech sector of Finland to co-develop AI enhanced features to develop learners' metacognitive and self-regulated learning skills.

Together, the project aims to advance human-centred AI in education and reinforcing Finland’s global leadership in responsible educational technology.
