Project description
This project aims to develop a secure, adaptable, and scalable edge computing framework that integrates AI-driven intelligence and resilient infrastructure. By focusing on real-world use cases from SMEs, the project strengthens digital resilience in the Aurora region. Its primary goals are to:
- Enhance digital innovation by integrating AI, IoT, and edge computing.
- Empower SMEs with practical, secure, and efficient solutions.
- Foster cross-border collaboration between Sweden and Finland for stronger regional competitiveness
The project adopts a four-phase approach:
1. Use Case & Requirement Analysis: Gathering stakeholder needs and defining pilot scenarios.
2. Resilient Edge Infrastructure: Designing and implementing distributed systems and resilient AI infrastructure.
3. Resilient Edge AI Services: Developing adaptive and resilient AI services for real-time decision-making at the network edge.
4. Validation & Demonstrations: Piloting solutions in SME environments.
By integrating cybersecurity with distributed AI, the project offers new methods to handle evolving threats, reduce latency, optimize resource usage, create resilience, and enhance operational efficiency for SMEs. Its open-access tools and frameworks will also enable innovation in the aurora region. The projects outcomes benefit multiple sectors manufacturing, logistics, energy,
and beyondby improving digital resilience, reducing costs, and opening new market opportunities. It advances academic research in secure distributed AI, while SMEs gain competitive advantages, and society benefits from more robust and sustainable digital infrastructure. Through international collaboration, the project strengthens our region and creates a long-term, positive economic and societal impacts.
