Research group description
The Crowd Computing (CC) Research team conducts fundamental and applied research in HCI: Crowd and AI-Assisted Wellbeing, Human-AI Interaction, and Meta-Research.
Given the rapid advances in AI, it is imperative to identify and harness the unique aspects of human cognition and develop ways for humans and algorithms to collaborate seamlessly across different domains.
The Crowd Computing (CC) Research team has three main focus areas:
Digital Health
We study and develop solutions for tracking, monitoring and helping people with various chronic and challenging medical conditions.
Crowdsourcing
We work with the crowds in many ways: Basic research on how the modern online human subject pools and labour markets operate and applied research where we employ the crowds for applied use cases online.
Meta HCI
We study how the HCI community conducts research: From the way authors cite each other, to how the different research areas that work on the future of computing have evolved over the years.
