Aino Rantala currently works as a University Researcher at the Center for Environmental and Respiratory Health Research (CERH) where her research focuses on early environmental risk factors and their impact on respiratory health. She has experience in epidemiological research in cohort and register studies, including leading the School Environment and Health Study (https://inchildhealth.eu/epidemiological-study-helsinki-english/). She also contributes to medical education by teaching public health and epidemiology to medical students.
Aino Rantala holds the Title of Docent in Public Health, specializing in environmental epidemiology and from August 2025 served as co-director and line manager at CERH.
