I am a doctoral researcher at the faculty of education and psychology in the unit of psychology.

In my doctoral research I investigate the developmental trajectories of irony comprehension in adolescence. The goal of the research is to understand when irony comprehension develops, and which cognitive factors are related. I also investigate the effect of prosody on irony comprehension. To study these topics, I use eye-tracking combined with other measurements.

The results of this research will help us better understand and support the linguistic and cognitive development of adolescents as well as provide deeper knowledge into complex brain mechanisms.
