I am a Finnish postdoctoral research fellow currently working in the Perinatal Research Team at the Medical Research Center (MRC) Oulu, University of Oulu. I have docent degree in biochemistry and molecular medicine, and I have visited laboratories in Germany, UK and USA. Currently, my research topic focuses on the biochemistry and molecular biology of human placenta, fetal membranes and uterine muscle as it relates to the project aiming to understand the regulation of the length of pregnancy and particularly the preterm labor. Moreover, I am acting as a Laboratory Manager at Clinical Research Center (CRC).
