Doctoral researcher
I work as a doctoral researcher at the Geography Research Unit of the University of Oulu. My doctoral research focuses on increasing militarism and the related land use and decision-making in the context of the Sámi homeland area in Finland.
I am interested in colonialism, decoloniality, the roles of the state as well as feminist theories and resistance. My background is interdisciplinary, and I have a master’s degree in gender studies from the University of Helsinki and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Freie Universität Berlin.
