Environmental and Chemical Engineering
Faculty of Technology
I hold a Ph.D. (2023) and an M.Sc. (2018) in Chemical Sciences from the Faculty of Chemistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My earlier research focused on the synthesis of diverse functional materials and on the luminescence of lanthanide-based compounds, with particular emphasis on their structural and optical properties. I also have experience in the private sector through my work at JEOL, a globally recognized leader in advanced scientific instrumentation and technology.
Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, Finland, where I focus on the development of catalytic materials for the degradation of emerging contaminants. I have recently been awarded competitive research funding, including support from Suomen Kulttuurirahasto (Finnish Cultural Foundation).
