Oulu Mining School
Faculty of Technology

I hold a PhD in Geology and Mineralogy from the University of Oulu and currently serve as a University Lecturer. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy supporting students at different stages of their academic journey. My teaching is student-centered and research-informed, designed to foster critical thinking while equipping students with practical skills for today’s mineral exploration and mining sector.

My research focuses on mafic–ultramafic rock-hosted PGE–Cu–Ni deposits. I am also interested in investigating magmatic–hydrothermal systems. I investigate ore-forming mechanisms, magma evolution, sulfide saturation processes, and the interaction between magmatic and hydrothermal fluids, aiming to improve exploration models for critical raw materials.

In addition to my research and teaching responsibilities, I serve as a tutor teacher of MRSM Geosciences master students (Mineral Resources and Sustainable Mining, Geosciences (MSc)). I also act as co-editor of the Res Terrae publication series.
