Haile Fenta is a postdoctoral researcher working on the Data4HealthCare project at the University of Oulu, Finland. He is an experienced statistician with over 15 years of professional experience in the field of statistics and public health research. Dr. Fenta is an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Statistical Institute, and the Ethiopian Statistical Association. Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous national and international research projects, focusing on the intersection of statistics, health, and development.

His research interests lie in the development and application of advanced statistical methods, particularly in the areas of spatial epidemiology, longitudinal data analysis, spatial and spatiotemporal modeling, multivariate data analysis, and machine learning algorithms. He has a strong interest in applying these methods to real-world public health problems. His current postdoctoral research centers on leveraging machine learning techniques to understand the impacts of climate change on child health, utilizing large-scale datasets from low- and middle-income countries around the world. This work aims to provide evidence-based insights that inform policy and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations globally.
