Jana Tölli

I'm project manager working at the intersection of healthcare education, digital health technologies, and innovation. I'm coordinating MetaHealthVerse and MetaHealthVerseTech projects, focused on developing scalable virtual learning solutions for healthcare professionals. I work closely with clinical, technical, pedagogical and research partners to translate healthcare needs into impactful, future-oriented solutions that strengthen competence development and patient safety.

My professional background spans both academia and health technology industry, combining scientific research expertise with hands-on product development experience. Over the years, I have worked in multidisciplinary R&D environments, contributing to medical device and digital health innovation from early research phases to product development, testing and validation.

I hold a PhD in Medical Physics and Technology from the University of Oulu (2016), where I researched quantitative and semi-quantitative ultrasound imaging methods for osteoarthritis diagnosis in the DIOS research group under the supervision of prof. Simo Saarakkala. In industry, I have worked in R&D teams of Health and MedTech companies, including Oura Health Oy and Smart PD Solutions Oy (Kiwecare).
