My research focuses on the biology of aging, frailty, and healthspan: why some people maintain health and independence well into late life while others experience accelerated decline. By combining large-scale omics and clinical data, our research group studies the pathways that drive aging and vulnerability to disease. The goal is simple but ambitious: identifying targets for earlier prevention, more precise risk prediction, and interventions that help people stay healthier and independent for longer. In parallel, our group is developing an electronic frailty index for healthcare to support proactive risk identification, guide clinical decision‑making, and enable more timely and targeted interventions that help maintain health.
