My research focuses on water purification by adsorption, and the utilization of bio-based materials in a cost-effective way as an adsorbent. The main goal of my research is to optimize the use of bio-based materials more widely in water purification, making it a competitive and more ecological alternative to commercial activated carbon. In addition, my research looks for sustainable solutions for the regeneration of materials, but also for the further use of used materials.
