Mirva Saaranen

I obtained my PhD in Biochemistry in 2007. Currently I work as University Researcher in the research group of Professor Lloyd Ruddock in the field of oxidative protein folding. My research expertise includes the development and applications of the bacterial expression system for production of proteins with essential posttranslational modifications such as disulphide bonds.

Besides my research and teaching related tasks, I work as the customer manager and digipedamentor as well as the contact point for co-operation with schools for our faculty.
