Mohammad Mahdi Salmani is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, Finland, where he previously received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Cybersecurity. His work focuses on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity, with an emphasis on intelligent and resilient security solutions for emerging digital environments, particularly Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) and threat modeling within the AI agentic ecosystem. He currently contributes to several prominent European research and industrial initiatives related to 6G and AI-driven innovation, including:

In addition to his academic work, Mohammad Mahdi has extensive industry experience as a cybersecurity engineer and analyst, and has held leadership responsibilities within CERT teams. His professional expertise spans threat detection, penetration testing, malware analysis, digital forensics, and security monitoring across enterprise and critical infrastructure environments.
