Priyanka Jain

My research focus on the surface chemistry of aerosol using synchrotron radiation based X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) to understand how aqueous surface influence the cloud droplet formation in the atmosphere.

My research focuses on the surface chemistry of aerosols using synchrotron radiation to gain direct molecular-level insights into particle composition and interfacial processes. In addition, I have expertise in studying the role of aerosol particles in atmospheric chemistry, with particular emphasis on the aqueous-phase degradation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by inorganic radicals, leading to secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation.
