Santeri Rytky

I am a doctoral researcher at the Research group of Medical Imaging, Physics and Technology (MIPT), Faculty of Medicine, University of Oulu, Finland. I graduated from the Faculty of Science with a degree in biophysics (18.6.2019).

Starting from 1.10.2021, I started working as a specializing medical physicist at the South Savo Social and Health Care Authority, Mikkeli Central Hospital. The expertise from the hospital environment allows me to tie the research results into a clinical perspective.

My PhD thesis is focused on applying artificial intelligence -methods for laboratory- and clinical research on osteoarthritis imaging. The work is supervised by docent Jaakko Niinimäki, professor Simo Saarakkala and assistant professor Aleksei Tiulpin.
