I am interested in Education for Sustainable Development from classroom-level practices all the way to the UN strategies. Education for Sustainable Development is one of the most powerful means for advancing the Agenda 2030 goals, which makes it essential to study and support the diversification and strengthening of Education for Sustainable Development across all levels of the education system, as well as to enhance educators’ competencies.

In my current doctoral research, I draw on qualitative data collected from subject teachers and subject teacher students. I examine how they understand the teaching of sustainable development from the perspectives of content, pedagogy, and agency. The results of this research can support both the development of teacher education and the growth of teachers’ professional expertise throughout their careers.
