My research explores the molecular-level chemistry of atmospheric aerosol particles using synchrotron-based X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy using aerodynamic lens based systems. I investigate how particle composition, surface enrichment, and mixing state differ between dry particles and aqueous droplets, and how these variations influence interfacial structure, reactivity, and depth-dependent chemical environments. I combine surface-sensitive and bulk measurements with quantitative analysis, to understand how microscopic chemical processes turn into macroscopic atmospheric consequences.
