Yucong Lao

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher on the project “Everyday Encounters with Propaganda,” funded by the Eudaimonia Institute. My doctoral thesis, Youth Meeting GenAI: Young People’s Media and Information Literacy Practices in the Information Ecosystem Shaped by Generative Artificial Intelligence, investigates how young people navigate and engage with GenAI artefacts in their everyday lives. My research interests focus on media and information literacy, Generative AI-related media content creation, and the assessment of mis- and disinformation.
