Developing Pathways for Achieving Sustainability in Agricultural Water Management for Systematic Transformation
Agriculture is the largest consumer of freshwater, yet increasing water scarcity, climate change, and growing food demand are placing unprecedented pressure on water resources. This research explores how sustainability in agricultural water management can be better understood, assessed, and transformed. It develops a new sustainability assessment framework and proposes practical pathways that help decision-makers, practitioners, and stakeholders move agricultural water systems towards a more sustainable future.
