Pilar Rodríguez is a post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Information Processing Science at the University of Oulu, Finland. She received her PhD in Computer Science (2013) from University of Oulu (Finland) and MSc degree (2008) and Bachelor degree (2006) in Computer Engineering from Technical University of Madrid (Spain). Before taking her current position, Dr. Rodríguez was a research assistant in the System and Software Technology Group, Technical University of Madrid (Spain).
Dr. Rodríguez’s research interests are focused on software engineering and empirical software engineering including software development processes, with area of interest on Lean and Agile methods, and software process improvement. Since 2007, she has been participating in several European and national research projects related to software engineering including EU-ITEA2 Flexi project (2007-2009), TEKES Cloud Software Program (2010-2013) and DIGILE Need for Speed Program (2014- to date). Dr. Rodríguez has extensive track record in conducting empirical work with industrial partners such as Nokia, Ericsson, ElektroBit, F-Secure, Tieto and EXFO-NetHawk.
