Technical instructions (in Finnish) for the thesis can be found, for example,  in the "gradu guide" of the Department of Geology and Geography, University of Helsinki. Instructions related to the contents are given by the supervisors. 

Maturity test
The written maturity test of the BSc degree should show that the student is able to produce scientific text in his/her fluent mother tongue. The length of the hand-written maturity test is around four pages (ca. 400 words). It is an essay-type account on the subject of the Bachelor's thesis, in which the student presents and analyse the material of the thesis including methods and results. Finnish students are required to write the maturity test in the language which they have competed their upper secondary education and the students of other nationalities write the maturity tests in English. No credits are given for the maturity test.

Degree certificates will be given to the students graduating that month in the Graduation Eventsof Faculty of Science (Publiikki). You can bring max. 2 persons as your avec. The dress code for the event is smart casual. If you can’t attend the Graduation Event, you can collect the degree certificate from Faculty Service point (G-corridor). If you live out of town, we can also send the degree certificate to you by registered mail.
