The application period is for studies starting in the academic year 2020 – 21. All applications and the required documents have to arrive by the deadline, late applications are not considered. Only electronically filled application will be considered.

Include all the attachments to the electronic application at the latest. We recommend to add the attachments to the application form at the same time when you fill in the application form for the first time.

University of Oulu processes the applications and Selection Committees start their work
After processing the application, will send you an e-mail notification informing you of your application status and, if needed, requesting you to supplement your application.
In some cases, the International programmes also conduct student interviews to determine the applicant’s academic qualifications and knowledge of the field. Applicants who are selected for interviews are personally contacted by the Selection Committees.

Admission results are published
Admission results of applicants applying to Bachelor's Degree Programme in Digitalization, Computing and Electronics with the Finnish Matriculation examination or IB-, EB-, RP- or DIA-degrees will be published in May or June.
University sends the Letter of Admission or Letter of Conditional Admission*) and the information package to accepted applicants via e-mail.
You may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland in education that begins in the same academic term.
Deadline for submitting verified documents: April 30, 2021
All applicants who receive a study offer need to verify the educational documents according to given instructions and send them to University of Oulu by April 30, 2021 at 15:00 / 3pm (GMT+2). Remember to verify your documents according to given instructions and check the country specific documents and application documents.
Deadline for paying the tuition fee: May 30, 2021
Last day to pay the tuition fee for citizens of non-EU/EAA countries.
The tuition fee has to be paid by May 30, 2021. Failure to pay will result in cancelling of the student's acceptance and revoking of the study right.
Deadline for confirming the study place: July 16, 2021 by 15.00/ 3pm (GMT+2)

All students accepted need to confirm their study place with the following schedule:

Confirm the offered place electronically through the link in your email notification. Please note that you can only accept one study place per term.
If you don’t confirm your study place by the due date, you will lose the study place.

Applicants who are admitted to Bachelor's degree and are graduating with higher secondary educational degree on spring/summer 2021 - Last day to provide the Degree certificate
Applicants, who receive a conditional offer of study placement, have to submit certified copies of the final certificate by this date. Detailed instructions are available in the Letter of Conditional Admission.
Deadline for submitting final diploma: July 30, 2021 by 15.00/ 3pm (GMT+2)*
Applicants who are admitted to Master's degree and are graduating with Bachelor`s Degree on spring/second term 2021 - Last day to provide the Degree certificate and Transcript
Applicants, who receive a conditional offer of study placement, have to submit certified copies of the Degree certificate and the final transcript of records by this date. Detailed instructions are available in the Letter of Conditional Admission.
Academic year begins
Academic year begins with the Orientation for new students starting early September onwards. Dates to be confirmed later.
Time to present the original certificates
All students are required to present their original certificates and transcript of records before starting their studies.
