I received my M.Sc. degree in 1994 and Dr.Sc. in 2006 from University of Oulu. I have worked as a researcher and a project manager in several projects related to radio channel, ultra wideband system and medical ICT research. Currently my position is University Researcher. I am also Adjunct Professor (Docent). My Docentship relates to Wireless Body Area Networks.

I have more than 160 International Journal and Conference papers. My H-index is 25 and i10-index 75 by Google Scholar (14.6.2019).

I was the General Chair of Bodynets 2018 conference held in Oulu on Oct. 2-3, 2018.

I am belonging to the Editorial Board of Annals of Telecommunications and being an Associate Editor of IEEE Access.
