Biography

Onel L. A. López got his B.Sc. (1st class honors) degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLV, Cuba in 2013. From 2013-2015 he was a telematics specialist in ETECSA, Cuba. In 2017, he obtained the MSc. degree from the UFPR, Brazil with a grant from CAPES/CNPq. In March, he joined the CWC, University of Oulu, where he conducted his PhD studies on wireless communications, specifically in ultra-reliable, low latency communications for future networks, energy harvesting setups, and efficient access techniques for massive machine-type communications. He got his PhD (with honors) degree in Apr. 2020.
