Pawani Porambage

Pawani Porambage is an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Oulu and a Senior Scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. She received her doctoral degree in the field of lightweight security for sensor networks from the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu, Finland (2018), Master’s Degree in Ubiquitous Networking and Computer Networking from University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, France (2012), and Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka (2010). She was a researcher at Centre for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu - Networks and Systems research unit from 2012 to 2022.

She has about fifteen years of experience in the domains of Lightweight Network Security, Wireless Sensor Networks, IoT, and MEC. She has been working on multiple Finnish and EU research projects, and COST Actions.
