Sampo Vepsäläinen

PhD student

MSc in physics from University of Oulu in 2019. Thesis about the effect of bulk-surface partitioning inside aerosol particles on the growth of organic aerosol at sub-saturation investigated through a modified version of aerosol micro-physics model SALSA (Sectional Aerosol module for Large Scale Applications), a model that describes the growth and formation of an aerosol population.

A PhD student in the Atmospheric Research group (ATMOS) since August 2019, doing modeling of aqueous-organic systems representing aqueous organic aerosol and activating cloud droplets, focusing on atmospheric surfactants, and the effect of surface activity on multi-phase multi-scale processes.
