D.Sc.(Tech.)
Biography
I work in Chemical and Environmental Engineering unit as an Academy Research Fellow. My research work covers a range of topics related to environmental technologies. The main focus areas are water and gaseous emission treatment by catalysis, catalytic utilization of emissions, photocatalytic water purification, adsorption, and development of functional materials for these purposes. More recently utilization of organic waste materials and inorganic industrial wastes and side streams have appeared as raw materials for catalyst and adsorbent preparation. I find it very important to study the developed materials in their real conditions of use, and thus operando and in situ methods are at the focal point of my research interest. I am active in national, international and intersectoral collaboration, I have long experience of leading different types of research projects, and I am supervising11 doctoral students working in the above-mentioned research areas.
