The goal of the ISA project is to enable the efficient development of new steel applications and machines in a sustainable way by implementing methods based on steel expertise, modeling and simulation. The basic idea is to speed up the product development process, to develop applications, product performance and business activities based on services so that production is always environmentally friendly with reduced emissions. The project is based on the technology expertise of key lead companies that transfer their knowledge to SMEs. The project is divided into three work packages (WP):

WP1, Open Innovation Arena:

  • Support business area changes and exports
  • Strengthen cooperation between large companies, SMEs and research institutes
  • Transfer technical expertise from large companies and research institutes to SMEs


WP2, Speed ​​Up Time to Market:

  • Speed ​​up product development by modelling, artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Improve quality by modelling, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
  • Strengthen know-how and co-operation
