Information for Guests
Participants of the University of Oulu Doctoral Conferment Ceremony will have access to discounted accommodation rates at selected hotels in Oulu during the conferment weekend.
Details of accommodation offers, discounted rates, booking codes and reservation instructions will be published on this page closer to the event.
After the Conferment Banquet, the programme continues with the Conferment Ball, which features traditional dances. Dance rehearsals led by a dance instructor will be organised in preparation for the ball.
In addition, participants may practise the dances independently with the help of the Conferment Ball rehearsal videos.
Participants are required to wear clean shoes at rehearsals. Shoes with narrow high heels are not permitted.
Rehearsals may also be attended without a partner, as pairs will be formed from unaccompanied participants when necessary.
