Information for donors

You can make an online donation using your online banking ID or credit card.

Please include your name and contact details with your donation.



If your donation exceeds the tax deductible limit of €850, we ask you to also fill in a deed of donation which we will deliver to you by post.

Donations exceeding €850 are tax-deductible in Finland. We will provide information on tax-deductible donations to the tax authority if we have access the donor's personal data. For this, we need a deed of donation. The document will be sent to you by post (or email, if you prefer).



Any donations totalling €10,000 or over can be allocated to your desired field of education with the deed of donation.

All donors who have submitted their email address receive an electronic newsletter once a month. In the newsletter, we report current topics of the university and the impact of donations. We are also happy to send the newsletter to everyone interested in science topics.

Donors also receive invitations to university events a few times a year.

You can unsubscribe from the mailing list for the newsletter and/or other communications by clicking the link in the newsletter or by contacting varainhankinta@oulu.fi.

The University of Oulu money collection permit RA/2020/518. The permit is valid in Finland starting from 8th of May 2020 excluding Åland.

The donations are used directly or via capitalisation as a strategic funding to support the research and education in the University of Oulu.
