By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• be familiar with key advanced methods in epidemiology and data science and their applicability in different study designs.
• critically assess assumptions, strengths, and limitations of these methods.
• understand strategies for handling time-varying confounding and mediation in longitudinal data.
• interpret causal effect estimates in research contexts.
• recognise approaches for bias detection and sensitivity analysis.
• use a learning diary to reflect on how these methods relate to their own research projects and future applications.

There are no formal prerequisites, but basic understanding of epidemiological methods and experience in epidemiological research helps following the course contents.
