Education description
Emerging semiconducting materials beyond the conventional counterparts such as Si, GaAs, GaN and SiC have started to play a central role in energy harvesting and sensing devices. These materials and devices support the green energy transition and the development of autonomous Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This course will introduce the working mechanisms of two major families of emerging semiconductors, ferroelectric and thermoelectric materials by discussing the frontier research in the fields.
