Enrollment and further information
Please note, Inorganic synthesis and characterization 2025 -course will be given in two parts which have different enrollment times.
Please register to the course in Peppi and the following link in Webropol: https://link.webropolsurveys.com/S/5B1559FF3BFE5959
Lecture-part (2 ECTS) is open for all, and it is given in hybrid form, which allows remote participation. To enroll, register in Peppi and via the Webropol form. The registration deadline is June 9, 2025.
The second part (3 ECTS) involves experimental work related to synthesis and characterization, and on-site presence is required. The second part of the course is limited to 10 participants due to laboratory space restrictions. Please note, only 10 first registered can participate the course, so please do not register to the second part if you are not sure about your participation.
If you are interested in this part of the course, please contact Satu Ojala (satu.ojala@oulu.fi). To enroll, register via the Webropol form. The registration deadline is May 25, 2025.
Education description
The lecture part includes the following topics:
• Characterization of redox and oxygen transport phenomena in oxide materials, Dr. Nicolas Bion, University of Poitiers, France
• Inorganic synthesis (precipitation, sol-gel, ceramic, hydrothermal, combustion synthesis,…) and microscopy, prof. Laurence Pirault-Roy, University of Poitiers, France
• ICP, XRF, prof. Kamal Essifi, University of Chouaïb Doukkali, Morocco
• XPS, prof. Samuli Urpelainen, University of Oulu, Finland
• XRD, prof. Rachid Brahmi, University of Chouaïb Doukkali, Morocco
• Preparation of functional inorganic materials, prof. Mohamed Siaj, University of Sherbrooke, Canada
• EPR, prof. Samer Aouad, University of Balamand, Lebanon
The second part of the course involves practical experimental work related to inorganic synthesis and characterization. The exact contents of the second part will be tailored based on the information requested from the participants. Please note, only 10 first registered can participate the course, so please do not register to the second part if you are not sure about your participation!
