Education description

Responsibility, ethics, equality, and interdisciplinarity in different phases of the research process. Scientific information retrieval, key databases, and reference management. Participatory science and science communication for general audiences. Choosing the publication channel, peer review process, and open access publishing. Research data management and FAIR principles. Visibility of research and researchers, as well as responsible researcher evaluation.

After completing the course, the doctoral researcher:

- is able to use key databases for information retrieval and identify the most relevant literature for their research topic
- is able to critically evaluate and strengthen the ethical, responsible, diversity- and equality-aware, and interdisciplinary aspects of their research project
- is able to apply the principles of open science at different stages of their research, from data management to the publication of data and articles
- understands the foundations of responsible researcher evaluation.

Mode of delivery is scheduled online learning where lectures are scheduled but can be listened to later. Independent work on the Moodle platform (34 h), assignments (10 h), and online lectures (10 h).
