4–5 PM Teekkaritorvet: Daytime dance at the Opening of the Academic Year
Did you miss dances during the summer? Worry not, the season is still on! Teekkaritorvet plays traditional dance music in the semester opening.
5–6 PM Professor Band
The Professor Band kicks off the new academic year in style—with a rock twist!
Location
The event will take place at Pihlajapiha on the Linnanmaa campus (an inner courtyard accessible through doors near the green and orange coat racks). The event is weather-dependent.
The event is open to all and free of charge.
In 2026, the University of Oulu will organize a year-long Campus as a Stage event series, the purpose of which is to showcase the broad cultural expertise of our university community and bring culture to the everyday life of our campuses and to the wider public. The series includes cultural lunches, cultural lectures, After Work events, various exhibitions and community art works, and art tours of the university's art collections.
