Campus as a Stage After Work: Live Karaoke

Come and spend atmospheric evenings on campus! Campus as a Stage After Work events aim to bring the campuses of the University of Oulu to life even after working and studying days. The program includes music, theater and good company. After Work events are generally held on the last Wednesday of every month (with a few exceptions). We welcome students and staff as well as all other residents and visitors from the Oulu area looking for cultural experiences. Depending on the organizer, the events are open or have an entrance fee.

Have you sang karaoke with a live orchestra? This is your chance at Teekkaritorvet’s Live Karaoke. Come alone or with your friends to sing Teekkaritorvet’s greatest hits! The event will be held in the Agora hall on the Linnanmaa campus (nearest door 2T). The event is open to everyone and does not include an entrance fee.

Psst! If you want to start the evening earlier, head to the nearby Saalasti Hall at 5 pm to watch a performance by the Student Theatre of Oulu. You'll have time to join the live karaoke afterwards.

In 2026, the University of Oulu will organize a year-long Campus as a Stage event series, which aims to showcase the broad cultural expertise of our university community and bring culture to everyday life on our campuses and to a wider audience. The series includes cultural lunches, cultural lectures, After Work events, various exhibitions and community art works, and art tours of the university's art collections.
