Campus as a Stage: Culture Lunches - New Oulu Big Bang

The idea of culture lunches is to bring cultural experiences to surprising and unexpected situations, such as during peak lunch restaurant hours. For example several interest societies under the University of Oulu Student Union participate in enriching everyday mealtimes on our campuses with both music and theater. Check out the exact event times, when and in which restaurant the culture lunch will take place, and head there for lunch!

This time the culture lunch is taken care of by the Professor band with New Oulu Big Bang in an acoustic setting. Come and enjoy some acoustic music during your lunch!

This culture lunch is organized in Kieppi next to the Medisiina restaurant (Kontinkangas campus).

This event is part of the University of Oulu’s Campus as a Stage 2026 culture programme. In 2026, the University of Oulu will organize a year-long Campus as a Stage event series, which aims to showcase the extensive cultural expertise of our university community and bring culture to the everyday life of our campuses and to a wider audience. The series includes cultural lunches, cultural lectures, After Work events, various exhibitions and community art works, and art tours of the university's art collections.
