Light and Shadows is a light installation designed by students, staff, and alumni of the University of Oulu. The exhibition opens to the public in November–December in the university’s F-corridor as part of the European Capital of Culture program.

The installation consists of individually designed cube-shaped lamps, laser-cut from interior plywood. Each piece reflects the creativity of its maker, and together they form an atmospheric ensemble in the darkened corridor. The decorative patterns cut into the lamp surfaces project intricate plays of light and shadow onto the surrounding walls – creating a captivating artistic experience.
