Lecturer: Prof. Octavio Rivera Romero, University of Seville, Spain

Date: March or April (to be defined)

Extent: 2ECTS

The purpose of participatory design is to raise the voices of stakeholders and involve them in the design process. It allows the designers and researchers to understand how to address the users' needs and wants while simultaneously providing the space to ensure their ideas are heard and put into practice. The approach is especially needed when creating digital health solutions as the target audience needs to be active and engaged for the solution to be effective.

Participants of this course will learn the principles of participatory design, how it can be applied in a healthcare context, what are the challenges involved, and how to address them.

The course will take place in 3 days where participants will make contact with the contents and do hands-on activities.
