On behalf of the PITHIA-NRF consortium, Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory would like to invite Finnish companies to the Second PITHIA-NRF Innovation Day that will be held in Brussels on March 15, 2023, at Brussels, Belgium.

The Second Innovation Day aims to bring together users from various industries, including but not limited to SMEs, the aerospace sector, and civil organisations, with experts in upper atmospheric research to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and explore new avenues of collaboration. Participants will learn about the services accessible through the innovative research infrastructure.

Why attend?

As a participant, you will have the chance to present your ideas and challenges to receive feedback from expert team members. The goal is to foster new collaboration through discussions held.

  • Does your work involve topics from the upper atmospheric domain, such as (but not limited to) physical properties, communication, or space weather effects resilience? Discuss your idea or related challenge with a team of experts from leading European institutes.

  • Does your interest lies in accessing data and data products? Discover through a detailed working example how the PITHIA-NRF e-Science center will become an invaluable tool that provides, with open access, the best datasets and models of the upper atmosphere, all in one place.

  • Does your interest lie in knowing how to access the PITHIA-NRF’s nodes? A demonstration of completed Trans-National Access users’ projects will answer your questions.

  • Dedicated B2B meetings with PITHIA-NRF partners in a framework of meaningful networking discussions at the unique Brussels Planetarium.

  • The event is free of charge.

Professor Eija Tanskanen, the project manager of the PITHIA for SGO team will be in person in Brussels. We are hoping to meet you at this unique event to discuss our possible future collaboration.

The meeting is focused on the face to face interactions, so we strongly recommend participating in person. However, remote participation will also be possible upon explicit request.
