Welcome to the Springineering Challenge 2026—where innovation meets opportunity!
Join us at the Springineering Challenge 2026 launch event at 15:00-16:00 on Tellus Stage, build a team, and start building solutions that matter.
Please sign up for the Launch event and enjoy refreshments as you learn about practicalities and next steps.
As a student, you’ll dive into hands-on hardware and software projects, working solo or in agile teams to solve real problems, pitch your ideas to industry experts, and compete for prizes (800 €, 500 € and 300 € for Top 3). Your project work counts toward your degree and can open doors e.g. to traineeships, thesis placements, and career connections with innovative companies.
The event is powered by the EU co-funded IKAPO project, connecting ICT students with companies in the region.
Companies play an active role in the Springineering Challenge 2026 by sharing ideas for project topics and engaging directly with students throughout the event on 13 April. You'll have the chance to discuss your interests and innovative ideas with company experts, who will offer feedback on your solutions. These high-value conversations not only showcase your capabilities and creativity to potential employers but also help you refine your work with practical, industry-driven insights.
Staff members are invited to guide and inspire students as supervisors, helping teams shape their solutions and bridge university learning with company needs. Explorers—faculty, company representatives, and alumni—can preview projects, join the Grande Finale on 13 April 2026, and engage in discussions that enriches the student learning experience and drives co-innovation. Your involvement helps companies discover new talent and strengthens connections through direct collaboration.
The Challenge features a wide range of topics, from hardware hacking and embedded systems to mobile apps, and systems design. Whether you’re interested in reverse-engineering IoT devices, building real-time controllers, designing electronics, or developing cutting-edge software etc., there’s a project for you—and you can even propose your own topic with a supervisor.
Registration for the Challenge itself is opened during the launch event on Monday 9 February — don’t miss your chance to be part of this dynamic, game-changing experience!
