Venue: The Botanical Garden of the University of Oulu (Kaitoväylä 5), room Sara
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to reflect and articulate your key areas of impact (in research and practice) in your career to date. Using these insights, we will bring you into an interactive hybrid workshop environment to test how you would bring your expertise to bear on a complex/wicked problem. Working in interdisciplinary teams you will design how best to coordinate your collective expertise in solving the problem. The outcomes of this work include:
- Gain a better understanding and ability to articulate your key skills and expertise
- Develop T Shaped research competencies (developing curiosity, empathy, understanding and appreciation of other disciplines/areas of expertise)
- Develop personal agency and resilience in learning how to adapt your knowledge and expertise to novel situations.
The main part of the workshop will take place on Tuesday 27th of September, 8:30-12:00 (3.5 hours). Pre-workshop preparation (2 hours) will take place in your own time using miro.com (links to follow). Post workshop review will take place informally on Wednesday 28th September at 10-11am (refreshments will be provided). Open to in person and online participation, with an emphasis on in person.
