Research
At Kajaani University Consortium, research is carried out in two different research fields. In the Vuokatti unit of the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Jyväskylä, research focuses on physical education technology. Research is also carried out at the University of Oulu's Unit of Measurement Technology (MITY)
Sports technology
The Sport Technology Unit specialises especially in applied and technological research of Nordic ski ingestion. The Department of Sport Technology operates a robust national and international research and development network, with which several international scientific congresses have been held in Vuokatti.
Measurement technology
The University of Oulu's Unit of Measurement Technology (MITY) is a unit focused on measurement technology that operates in two areas of application: cleantech and health and wellness. Approximately 40 highly qualified researchers and measurement engineering and analytics professionals operate in the Measurement Technology Unit.
