The 2023 best HR-related master's thesis comes from the Oulu Business School

Oulu Business School's graduate, M.Sc. Essi Veija, won the 2023 best HR-related master's thesis competition organized by the Finnish Association for Human Resource Management (HENRY ry). A large number of entries were submitted to the competition, and the three best were selected for the final.

M.Sc. Essi Veija, a graduate of Oulu Business School, won the 2023 Best HR-Related Master's Thesis Competition organized by the Finnish Association for Human Resource Management (HENRY ry). Her winning thesis, "The Dual-Effect of Organizational Culture on Employee Resistance: The Case of an Expert Organization in International Post-Acquisition Integration", was supervised by Professor Pia Hurmelinna-Laukkanen and University Lecturer Lauri Haapanen from the Department of Marketing, Management, and International Business.

Veija's work stood out for its strategic personnel management perspective, a well-defined theoretical framework, and the inclusion of diverse research material. The chosen topic not only resonates with practical business applications but also offers innovative insights.

The winner of the competition will be honored with a recognition award of 1,000 euros.
