5th European Academic Symposium on EAF Steelmaking (EASES)
The University of Oulu's Process Metallurgy Research Unit organizes June 5-7. of the "European Academic Symposium on EAF Steelmaking" together with Germany's largest technical university RWTH Aachen. The symposium is taking place for the fifth time and now for the first time outside of Germany.
Researchers from more than ten countries gather in Saalastinsali at University of Oulu to listen to presentations and discuss EAF in steelmaking.
The symposium represents a pinnacle of the over ten years of collaboration between the Process Metallurgy Research Unit at the University of Oulu and the Department for Industrial Furnaces and Heat Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University. The symposium is chaired by Associate Professor Ville-Valtteri Visuri from the University of Oulu and Dr.-Ing. Thomas Echterhof from the RWTH Aachen University.
